Meet Our Staff
Chris Whitney is a Pastor at Hope Church and the Founder of One Generation Away, both based in Franklin, TN. He has a passion to see churches and organizations come together to serve each other and to serve our neighbors in need. OneGenAway’s mission is to wipe hunger off the face of America by eliminating racism, denominationalism and poverty. Chris’s first book, “The Dirty Church”, is now released and available for purchase. Chris is married to Elaine for 30 years and has 3 daughters, 2 son in laws and 4 grand children.
Henry Booker is a live long resident of Franklin and the longest running volunteer and now employee of OneGen. He is a military veteran and enjoys serving at his church and serving our community. Henry never meets a stranger, he has a heart for helping people.
Elaine is happily married to Chris for 30 years, mother of 3 girls, 2 sons-in- law and 4 grandchildren. Elaine has supported Chris as the co-founder of One Generation Away for over 6 years. Together their passion is to help those in need starting with their own community and reaching out to other cities, states, and the world. Their goal is to put others before themselves by serving through food and ultimately to wipe hunger off the face of America.
Chris Mellor is husband to an amazing and gorgeous wife and father to 3 beautiful children. He loves the Nashville Predators, Jimi Hendrix, and his dog Moose. He has worked for OneGenAway since February of 2015 and is thankful for the opportunity to serve the people of middle Tennessee.
