“Thank y’all so much. You have been keeping my grandbabies fed for these past two years, and I don’t know what I would do without you.”

If vivacity had a face, it might look a little like Beverly’s. You may find your mind working overtime just to keep up with Beverly in a conversation, and it will no doubt leave you with a smile on your face.

We’ve chatted with Beverly as she has both volunteered and received food. She has been caring for three of her teenage grandkids while her daughter has been dealing with a series of tough medical procedures. Beverly has a heart not only to care for her family but also for those experiencing hardships in her community.

Though she shared that she can certainly use the food from our mobile pantry to help her feed three growing kids at home, she felt like she was “taking from somebody else” who could use the food more.

But at OneGenAway, we believe that if the food will bless you and your family and help you meet your needs, it is there for you. Communities are here to support one another, and when we commit to helping when we have something to give and accepting help when we have needs to be filled, the result is something beautiful.

Something beautiful like Beverly.
